Yaaga Samrakshana

The eighth song in the series of Ramayanam is composed in Hanumattodi raagam and is set to aadi taalam.
This song praises the valour and courage shown by Lord Rama and Sowmitri at a very young age. The divine brothers accompanied Brahmarshi Vishwamitra to the Siddhashramam where the yaagam was performed along with continuous chants of naadham and vedam along with other great Rishis.
On the final sixth day of the yagnam, Rakshasas Marichi and Subahu tried with all their might to sabotage the yaagam, but Lord Rama and Lakshmana defeated them with the knowledge of Bala and Athibala taught by Brahmarshi Vishwamitra.
