This was one of the best acting performances by the Legend Sir Anil Kapoor and Amruta Madam. The entire storyline was subtle and still hard hitting. The ending scenes bring tears to your eyes. Late Shri Utpal Dutt played the role of a father who is tough on the exterior and very soft inside. They don't make movies like this any more...This song was a favourite of mine. Late Bappi Da and Janaki Madam sung it really well, expressing the youthfulness into their respective voices. No wonder it was such a hit then and even now!!!

In fact, she had received praises from your South legend composers Rahman and Ilaiyaraja, even though they both worked more with Janaki, they still didn't hesitate to compliment Lata and acknowledge her greatness. So yeah, Janaki is talented but she was no competition for Lata, she had her own place.
