When Dirk came in, the league didn't know what to do with him. it was still when a center stayed in the paint and the PF was a smaller center. Dirks style didn't translate back then, making him get less minutes and no efficiency

Yeah, it's crazy that people are scared to coach. Like if you have a tall player that can shoot, make him get in the paint for what? Like it's easier shots, but if the guy is weak especially compared to the competition inside, let him shoot. Just weird that like you don't encourage players to be their own player, everybody has to do the same things. All SGs would run around screens and black hole, PGs would stand at the top and watch actions, PF and C would screen or low block. Just feels like no coaching if every player is demanded to do the same thing.

Alex English should’ve been in the Ausur tier, but it wasn’t entirely his fault. He got drafted by the Bucks who had a coach that refused to play rookies and insisted that everyone play defense. English was not a good defender. The two butted heads over the next couple of years so much that English asked to be traded, and the Bucks sent him to the Pacers. The sad thing was that Moncrief and English were on the same team. They could’ve been like Dame and Jimmy Butler. Ugh!

If you took away Luka’s first 2 years, he’d miss out on a first team all nba + all star season + top 5 player season. He averaged 29/9/9 in his second season and 31/9/10 in the playoffs. He was 3rd in PER at 27.6 only after the two mvp candidates, Giannis and Harden ahead. Also took peak Kawhi and PG to the to the brink in the playoffs on one leg with no support.

That's their choice to play at that pace, the late 90 - 2010 era is by FAR the slowest in NBA history and really it was the only slowed pace era in NBA history, a real outlier, so yes their stats took a hit from it but nobody forced them to play that slow
