Should be noted that rookies back in the day had to complete college before coming into the NBA. Kareem and MJ averaging 28ppg their rookie year is different than Kobe and LeBron being drafted out of high school

When Dirk came in, the league didn't know what to do with him. it was still when a center stayed in the paint and the PF was a smaller center. Dirks style didn't translate back then, making him get less minutes and no efficiency

Yeah, it's crazy that people are scared to coach. Like if you have a tall player that can shoot, make him get in the paint for what? Like it's easier shots, but if the guy is weak especially compared to the competition inside, let him shoot. Just weird that like you don't encourage players to be their own player, everybody has to do the same things. All SGs would run around screens and black hole, PGs would stand at the top and watch actions, PF and C would screen or low block. Just feels like no coaching if every player is demanded to do the same thing.

Alex English should’ve been in the Ausur tier, but it wasn’t entirely his fault. He got drafted by the Bucks who had a coach that refused to play rookies and insisted that everyone play defense. English was not a good defender. The two butted heads over the next couple of years so much that English asked to be traded, and the Bucks sent him to the Pacers. The sad thing was that Moncrief and English were on the same team. They could’ve been like Dame and Jimmy Butler. Ugh!

Blud Magic had Kareem, but if he did not play like that in the playoffs then they are absolutely baked. Meanwhile we have Jeffrey over here who AVERAGED 28 POINTS ON 82 GAMES WITH 2.4 STEALS WHILE ALSO ELEVATING HIS SCORING UP BY 1 POINT IN THE PLAYOFFS Like bruh… I kinda want rookies nowadays to come in on their 20s BECAUSE HOLY CRAP IMAGINE VIK COMING IN AS A 21 YEAR OLD my god.
