If you like a good mystery with your anime, I recommend the series called Another. It is more horror than time-travel themed, but it is really good. The best part about it is that they give you the answer upfront, but it is done in such a way that you don't notice you had the answer until the end. It is something of a cross between the Sixth Sense and Final Destination.

The last name he saw at the house did not necessarily mean her last name changed... but he was surprised that the name in the house was not her last name... but later they did say she was living with people that care for her so the different name implied that she didn't live with her family rather than her last name changing... then again i don't remember if we knew about her family before that so i don't know if her not living with her family was a difference that happened because of the time alterations or it was already like that before going back...
