Just stopped the video to say spoilers in the openings are really overblown. You see characters early sure but it's never meant to be a secret who they are and without context the opening does what it's meant to do, give hype. You will never ever guess the shape of the story from the opening or ending alone.

@@murpsauce7168 it didn't spoil it for the vast majority of people when it first came out but now whenever someone reacts to this series there's a horde of people always going on about exactly what order everything needs to be done or they couldn't possibly enjoy it, it's ridiculous. Not one character arc can be understood by openings alone not one plot twist no character is ever kept secret. Even if he were the type to go through the openings with a fine tooth comb(he's not by the way) he wouldn't get anything out of it.

I love how every Arc in HXH is almost an different anime, we just went from an Mafia Revenge arc to Jumanji The Trading Card Game arc

Not only that but it transitions to different genres so seamlessly. I've never seen anything like it in a non episodic story.

@@lurkingposter A theory of mine is that, since Togashi didn't get to write YYH as an episodic story like he may have intended, he wrote this story as an episodic story structure but having each arc be an "episode".

@@lucasmarcucci5330 Gon and Killua are still using nen basics. their techniques are still simple forms of nen application. though killua's is much more encompassing. in some ways Kurapika ad Leoria's use of nen is more advanced given where their en catagories are. and that's what's so crazy about their growth so far. they still have two more stages of nen to go. to make something tangible with their nen and then to make something living with their nen. and even knuckle could do that.

I'm really enjoying this HxH journey of yours, at first I wasn't totally sure how this would go without the others. But the fact you're so into the mechanics of how HxH works and its writing really makes this all work super well. I wouldn't worry too much about the openings, I guess I *might* see why some people get picky about whether you watch them or not but I really think HxH is good enough to not be ruined by the things it teases in it's openings.

I honestly don’t get the “don’t watch the openings/endings”.. It’s only people who’ve seen/read it before & understand the context who realise what’s being “spoiled”. I don't know why people would bother watching the OP for a new season. I always go at least half way into the season before watching a new OP or ED. I don't want to see things or characters before they are presented in the story. When you see characters in an OP it kinda clues you in on much about them. So when you first see them in the story you already know something is going to come from them.

Man, Hunter x Hunter is soo good, the only reason It isn't on my top 5 animes is because i made the dumb decision to go read the manga after i finished the anime, now i kinda few like i have to see How the author Will wrap up everthing before i put on my top 5 - same thing with JoJo.
