its fun watching these historic northern sailors while in a cold winter boat cabin staying warm under layers of wool blankets. the big mystery is how the original wooden boat crews stayed warm themselves while sailing through uncertain weather conditions and amongst large ice flows.

Great video .. 25:30 MS Hanseatic in the Simpson Strait, it had a lot easier passage than Roald Amundsen who took two weeks to get thru in his vessel Gjøa in August 1905.
