If I were a DJ and putting together a playlist of songs that captured the mood and vibe of the late 70's and early 80's, um...this would be it! To follow Summer Breeze with Miracles, was brilliant! Those two songs evoke similar feelings of a similar time. I hear either one, nowadays, it brings me right back.

I've been listening to music since I can remember. My sister and I had 45s we would buy for $1, I think, this was back in 1972. We also listened to my parent's Oldies on LPs (The Platters,, Elvis Presley, etc.). So much of what you play, I had or listened to on the radio. When I was cleaning for a cleaning company, then out on my own, I always had on a Walkman (yep, remember those?) Of course I only could listen to the radio, which by then were the great tunes of the mid 80s. I listen to music while I cook, while I fall asleep. I was listening to Spotify at work, but I couldn't get exactly what I wanted. I went to KZbin videos last year and finally came across you guys. Just like the song by the O'Jays, "I love Music!!". Keep crushing it, Z-Bear!

Not too many know the lead singer on "Fooled around and fell in Love" By Elvin Bishop was Mickey Thomas who went on to sing with Jefferson Starship or Starship as they went on to become. When he did "Jane" and other hits you instantly recognize him. "Stranger" is my favorite.

idea... not sure how popular it would be though: Albums often had good songs that never really played on the radio. Also, DJs on the radio sometimes played songs that were never "hits", especially late in the evening or in the middle of the night. (one DJ on CHEZ 106.1 in Ottawa, Canada, played a whole Jethro Tull album he had purchased that day but it was something like 2AM...). My friends called in requesting ELP's Karn Evil Nine and the DJ played it once, but other times she substituted other ELP tracks which were good but not the "hits". Fun times, back when radio stations reacted to what listeners wanted. Their DJs were also actively involved in promoting local bands and went to dance clubs and concerts to stay up-to-date.
