That's a great back to back comparison. I prefer the last yacht layout and it would be my go to. Though I did also like the second yacht with that enormous hot tub on the aft.

Problems with that are many. To start with there’s huge crew and fixed costs plus repair & maintenance. Secondly you share practically an island with min. 8 crew 24/7-which human resource management is a pain. Thirdly, your boat looses value fast. Last but not least you get tired of the whole thing.

Whats minimum crew for a 40/50 meter yacht if you were living on it full time with no guests? Captain, engineer, first mate? So 3? Id get my captains license, and id get my two sons to be qualified engineers/first mate. Wouldnt want to share my yacht with a bunch of strangers​@@Altanmarko

Fascinating tours, Jack 👍 Way out of my price league, nor do i really want a boat with crew. However, if i did, the Benetti wins for me. I've admired their designs for a long time. Coincidentally, Phoenix was below me at Ocean Village for a few months this year, shes a beauty, very modern design, nice crew too.

I like the Pendennisbecause of that huge aft deck, I want to explore so I am not really worried about the frills etc. The tenders and Landrover you could put on thae deck would make it a true explorer yacht. I would rather have a sub 24m yatch so it won't need to meet so many regulations.

I like the traditional look so Custom Line is for me. As there are 4 I am a little overwhelmed as to which interior I referred but like any boat that has good crew uarters and ability to have tenders and at least 2 jetskis. I also would want enough space to have a bit of a gym (not just an exercise bike, thats not a gym). Great tours but think maybe 2 at a time rater than 4 would be better.

nice, those are a bit out of commoners price range, could you do a luxury BOS bug out ship cherry picking with up to 25m/80ft on a budget with longest autonomy, best reliability that can be owner operated easily and serve as liveaboard to sail through armageddon? lets say up to 5 million euro range new or half that second hand?

Fact. Wealthy people will buy or lease a jet first. A jet can get you nice places a lot quicker and cheaper. Most of these vessels do more than a few hundred miles per year. A yacht is a very expensive statis symbol, that are very under used - unless the owner also charters it out.
