Thanks for watching. The engine room was challenging to film due to the restricted space. I have to balance the need to provide viewers content they want to see, with promoting the yacht that is for sale. In this case the engine room footage was really not good enough to do justice to the yacht so I decided to cut it.

@@Yachtsforsaleblog It's not so challenging - I used to own an 86s (also bought in Sardinia). Sure, not much room but you should have shown it. The engine room and quality of the state of it is essential to these boats - I looked at 3 x 86s, and the other two were not in great shape mechanically - visually at least - compared to the one I bought

David, good morning and the best of the Christmas and holiday seasons to you and yours. The extensive use of shaped and flowing glass work caught my eye. Although this does not represent my ideal view of what I would require from a boat of this class. She does have many intriguing qualities. Her lines and swept back features are in themselves quite beautiful. She has many lovely attributes and will serve her next owner well. On the occasions when the owner doesn't require time on board she will serve the charter community fabulously. Another wonderful video David. I truly appreciate the time to come and view her. Especially when she is shown off by an experienced and knowledgeable person such as yourself. Have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy the rest of the holidays David. Thanks for the tour!

Interesting use of space all over this Sporty Azimut yacht for all of the cabins, Salon, bridge, and finially the engine room. But she stylish but its also comfort with safety in mind and practicalibility. I prefer a long distance yacht but she is a great family or charter yacht for fun.

Beautiful boat for the price point… It’s roughly the same cost for a new Amel 50. Last couple I looked at were around 1.2 to 1.4 million USD. meanwhile I’m looking for a 2nd hand Amel 50 to buy on e I retire (temporarily) in 10yrs which will still probably cost between €700,000 to €900,000.

She's definitely not what I would personally be looking for in a yacht, but she sure is a lovely specimen of what she is. I think she'll do beautifully for someone who's looking for that kind of a sport and play boat. And that's one of the nicest VIP cabins I've seen yet. However, if you open that enormous sun roof on a summer night as you suggested, every mosquito within twenty miles will join you on your boat within the first ninety seconds. 🤣
@tecwzrd2 жыл бұрын
Mosquitoes are weak flyers and most would not venture more than a few hundred feet off shore. I've never seen a mosquito when at least 2 miles offshore.
@norarivkis25132 жыл бұрын
@@tecwzrd Well, there's a pretty big difference between a few hundred feet and two miles. You may be right at two miles out. But at anchor offshore in a protected harbor, which is exactly where a lot of people want to open the roof, there will be thousands of them.

hello! Really like the videos, even if I am far away from buying a yacht. On a yacht like this one, the helm looks a bit dated compared to a new yacht. Is it possible to upgrade the instruments to 2022-tech?
@oneslackr2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's definitely possible. The only limiting factor is the size of your bank account. Quite honestly on this Azimut the helm isn't the only thing that looks dated IMO. However, if you were to buy it for €1,290,000 & decided to upgrade/modernize the entire boat from top to bottom for a few hundred thousand it would still be much cheaper than to buy a modern Azimut version of this yacht. A new Azimut S8, which is slightly shorter at (24.63m/80'10"), costs around €3,350,000. The next size up currently in the S line is the Azimut Grande S10, which is a bit longer(28.72m/94'3"), & costs €7,100,000.00. So it would be far cheaper to upgrade this old 86S even if you gutted the entire boat & replaced everything.

Hi David, I wish you can include more technical information in your reviews like if the yacht has seakeeper/gyro stabilizers, kind of drive system(shaft, v-drive, Pod, etc. as well as the Hours on the engines and generators.

@@Yachtsforsaleblog Oops Sunseeker 161 - not 131. They are using a foil on their fast displacement hull design for release in 2022. I think foils are a big help on catamaran designs.
@Yachtsforsaleblog2 жыл бұрын
@@EdwardTilley Interesting. The foil on the Sunseeker 161 (which has never been built by the way) is actually a hull vein that is fitted to the bottom of the hull. It is designed to optimise the performance of a displacement hull. The Azimut on the other hand is a planing hull, so the hull vein would actually slow it down. It's a fascinating subject...I should look at producing a vlog about it!
@EdwardTilley2 жыл бұрын
@@Yachtsforsaleblog The success of the Aquila 36 dual-hull foil makes me wonder how much weight these things can lift. Performance and fuel economy is doubled for over 15 kph operation.

Beautiful yacht. Looking at the rolling whilst stationery. Is that normal or would stabilisers help?.
@PowerYacht2 жыл бұрын
She is anchored in the middle of nowhere with not ideal conditions. You would not normally do that. We do it only for a break in the middle of a long cruise, think like 200 nautical miles and the guest getting tired, so you stop for a drink and some light snack before continuing. Video scheduling and a Winter swell typical of the Mediterrean coupled with a different breeze direction did not help.
@Yachtsforsaleblog2 жыл бұрын
Even zero speed stabilizers will only help to a certain point. They reduce roll motion rather than completely eliminate it. As @PowerYacht rightly says, we were nowhere near a bay and the ocean had a winter swell. I would love to find a way to film that does not show the roll motion, but in all honesty it is a part of yachting so maybe it's better that the videos show the reality of life on board. You get used to it pretty quickly and it doesn't spoil the experience unless you are easily susceptible to seasickness.
@markscion2 жыл бұрын
They roll, and they swing wildly with the wind, because there's no drag under the waterline. There's not much room to add stabilisers retrospectively. I don't mind the rocking, but jumping over the side, then seeing the boat swing 50m in mild breezes in seconds is a bit disconcerting. we used to through a long line over the side, with a buoy, so as the boat swung, you could easily grab the line and pull back to it.
