सचिन, कदाचित तू आता मला ओळखणार नाही कारण कमीत कमी ३५ वर्षांचा काळ लोटला आहे. मी कॉलेज (मॉडर्न) सोडल्यालाच (१९८९) आता ३३ वर्षे झाली. तू त्याआधी १-२ वर्षे. पण आपण त्यावेळी एकमेकांच्या बऱ्यापैकी परिचयाचे होतो. आणि त्याचा मला नक्कीच अभिमान आहे. आपण एकाच कॉलेजमध्ये होतोच. पण माझा खास मित्र विनोद कालेकर हा तुमच्या समवेत वाद्यवृंदामध्ये गायचा म्हणून सरावाच्या व कार्यक्रमांच्या निमित्ताने आपण तासनतास बरोबर असायचो. तुमच्या समवेतचे पराग वडगावकर, उदय बराटे हे आता पूर्वीपेक्षाही चांगले मित्र आहेत. मी सकाळ मध्ये नोकरीला असल्याने त्यागराजचीही बऱ्याचदा भेट व्हायची. पण तुझी नंतर जास्त भेट झाली नाही म्हणून परिचय ही तुझ्या विस्मृतीत गेला असण्याची शक्यता आहे. पण तू नामांकित असल्याने तुझ्याबरोबरचा परिचय आमच्या आजही लक्षात आहे.

Dear Sachinji, I have been almost addicted to listening to your piercing melodies on harmonium every night until my eyes close in sleep with drop of tears. I have no word only feel.
