I live in rabat, and what i love about it is the shops in the medina dont bother you, they let you shop freely unlike marrakech And as a local, i'm comfortable paying the prices you paid, affordable and reasonable, as for the shop owner, mr belaid 11:51 he seems like the nicest person ever. god bless his heart.

Totally true, the price hustles are mostly in Marrakesh since it's a touristic hub which is kinda expected, but not the case in other cities. you'll get the same first price as Moroccans and u can hustle 20% max.

Those leather product and the moroccan inflence had the whole industry named after it Maroquinerie. Search for this word Maroquinerie, it is pronounced, if you do not know since it has a french connotation, so the "qui" will sound "qu" is "k" and and "i" is like "ski", "nerie" will have a mute "e" in the middle and at the end, with same concept as "ski" you just get replace "s&k" with "n&r" when you pronounce it, so it be like Marokinri

Le Maroc a toujours été très connu pour les objets en cuir et depuis très longtemps, à un tel point que "la maroquinerie" qui désigne tous les articles en cuir en France vient du nom Maroc, je pense que c'est la même chose en Anglais. "Un marocain" désigne aussi un poste ministériel en référence à l'objet en cuir qu'ils avaient à l'époque pour conserver leurs documents.

And by that's my old neighborhood where you bought the bags, and the guy i know him. He didn't give you bad price at all, and even if you did pay him 200dh, it wouldn't been a scam. Also if you can leave 10dh or 15dh more as good will and not kill the price so that you support the people, after all it makes 1£ or 2£ shouldn't be a danger on the finances. My brother Yad and dear family. If it is too difficult for you and your safety to find a second home or retirement in Kurdistan, or Iraq, please consider buying a home in Morocco to spend mom's retirement in a beautiful landscape at the sea. I am half Moroccan half Syrian and I know it can be difficult to feel uprooted and cold living in Europe but you are always welcome in Morocco with your family to spend some quiet and nice days, and you know you will never go without there. Life is good and cheap here.

Don’t buy fake gold for the price you paid, I’m Moroccan living in Florida and I would never pay that much for fake gold gold! Not to mention I get a rash due to some metal allergy!
