The problem here is that Yae can be better or worse than Fischl depending on how hard you whale for her, so different people is going to have different experiences on the matter. It's the same thing with Xingqiu vs Yelan.

In most scenarios for the majority of people, it's more accurate to compare them to c0 5 stars. If you want to compare them with constellations, you should do it with each constellation

I think a lot of people under estimate Fischl's damage output due to her often being run with another electro on fielder, leading to it being slightly more difficult to see who is doing the damage. It is kind of hard to keep track when your screen is full of purple numbers. While there are cases where you'd want to use another electro character instead, over all she is the best electro unit in the game.

As far as I know the only time Yae is better than Fischl is on Spread teams, which is mainly Alhaitham and Tighnari. The reason is Spread is a dendro reaction, not an electro one, which means Fischl won't trigger her A4 which causes her damage to tank

ok I'm gonna stunlock myself for a moment and say that we should not compare C0 five stars to C6 four stars. The average price for a C0 five star at 0 pity is around 95 wishes and 240 wishes for a C6 four star on a rate up banner (according to tenten OPPA). That's just average, five stars have pity and guarantees so it could be as low as a 10-pull to get them once their banner starts. Meanwhile you can't do anything to reduce the amount of wishes needed for four stars except get extremely lucky. And I do mean extremely because the four stars are competing with two other banner rate ups meanwhile the five stars are only competing with one. And no, fischl being a 1.0 character that's on the monthly shop doesn't matter, because first, not everyone has been playing since 1.0 and have seen as many good banners with fischl on them because as new characters get added the amount of good banners to pull on gets diluted. Especially when everyone is saying "just pull for who you like" there can be tons of characters that you like these days and none of them could have fischl on them. The starglitter argument doesn't work either because if you apply it to fischl, it can also be applied for C4 XL, C6 XQ, C2 Beidou, and any of the starter characters that is super hard to get constellations for. At that point you're gonna be out of starglitter in no time, and not to mention how hard it is to get starglitter when you're starting out in the first place, where you don't have any duplicates on anything and you're saving for months on end, not getting any starglitter at all. And you could be waiting up to 5 months for the character to be rotated back into the shop. Why this is so important for fischl is that from C0 - C5 she doesn't get almost any good constellations, the one that increases skill damage being okay. But at C6 she gets a massive damage upgrade and a 17% increase of OZ uptime, which means 17% more A4 procs and particle generation and electro application. Meanwhile most of the 1.0 content creators and theorycrafters have had the 1.0 four stars for over 3 years now and have completely forgotten how different those characters are at lower constellations, or with no constellations at all. And when they talk about how "broken" they are, they are of course referring to their power level at C6 because anything below C6 doesn't exist to them so why should they even consider it, but a viewer watching might think they are actually talking about C0 because that's what their fischl is on, and it will make no sense to them how she would be better. Because comparatively Miko's damage at C0 is very visibly better than C0 fischl, in and out of dendro teams but especially out of dendro teams. She also has 100% uptime on electro application and particle generation while fischl has 5s of downtime. Some players might also not pull on every character like a lot of content creators do and have way less teams where fischl's off field electro application is needed, so it is of inherently less value to them. But yea this isn't just a fischl problem, it can be also said for Yelan and XQ or or Hu Tao and XL. I just wish people would either specify when they are talking about C6 four stars every single time to not be taken out of context or not compare them in general because of everything that I just mentioned.

Unlike niche 4* characters that are dedicated supports to a specific 5* unit who becomes extremely difficult to obtains constellations for assuming that you do not want the unit they support, like Gorou and Faruzan, it is relatively much easier to add cons to units like Fischl, Bennett, Xiangling and Xingqiu that are not tied to a specific banner and are available on shop. They have been given for free overtime as well, and you don't need to be a 1.0 player to get them to c6. I played around 2.0 and got them all to c6 halfway into Inazuma because I made 4* cons a priority just like the 5* characters I want. It takes discipline and a bit of luck as well. Most content creators don't even consider her c6 a lot of the time and focus exclusively on her A4 passive. And if you are F2P and don't have stringless, Fischl's c4 can be valuable for activating Song of Stillness' passive without a healer. If you are a newbie the only thing you should be doing is wishing for 5* characters that can quickly let you tackle the abyss for freemogems. You will have enough resources in your world to get the 5* you want later. The last banner of Fischl was with Neuvillette alongside Xingqiu, and if you got him, then congratulations on picking up the best carry in the game.

I think 4 stars are unironically harder to get than 5 stars now. There's so many that reruns for any of them are incredibly rare, which makes getting a particular one like fischl an almost impossible feat. And then when they finally get a rerun, you're competing with 2 other 4 stars and a 50% chance to just get a weapon. I can't count the amount of times I've wanted to get a specific 4 star on the event banner just to only get the other 2 a bunch, even if i do like 80 wishes. Meanwhile if youre trying to get yae, you have very good chances of getting her as long as you saved up in advance. This isnt to say yae or fischl is better, i just think the "everyone has [insert 4 star here]" argument is completely irrelevant in modern genshin because of how increasingly difficult it is to get a specific one. And then not only do content creators assume we have every 4 star, they assume we have every c6 4 star as well. But thats almost impossible now. We seriously need to abandon the mentality that everyone has been playing since 1.0 where 4 stars got reruns practically every other month

​@@catfoodtastesgood5808 how is she better xd kazuha's grouping capabilities are unmatched, can double swirl, a4 is able to reach 40%+ element dmg bonus, the only thing sucrose does better is that she gives around 200-250 EM, which kazuha can do too with c2(even buffing himself aswell) if your kazuha is c0 and we don't include that kazuha is just more comfortable to play and you play smth like spread hyperbloom etc. where EM>bonus dmg% then yeah go ahead sucrose can be better, otherwise kazuha is just a superior unit

Not really, since he is talking about the teams that fischl and yea work in, wich he doesn't play them becuase he prefer a different type of team combo, not becuase they are not good,but becuase he doesn't prefer them due to their play styel. However, his point still stand strong, in teams that need yea or fischl in them,fischl is your best option,being one of the best support since the game released.

I know she is better than Yae Miko. I think Fischl is even better than Barnett objectively but Bannett has no second, no replacement and that is why Bannett is invaluable, used so much and every one can agree he is S tier. No way Yae is better than Fischl at C0 it should not even be compared. In a free to play comp. In my knowledge, The S tiers are: Bannett, Kazuha, Nahida and Furina. S- Raiden, Yelan, Xingqui, Fischl, Neuvillette and Xiangling A+ Tier Kokomi, Alhaithm, Venti, Nilou and Kuki. A- Ayaka, Ganyu, Hutao, Lyney, Yoimiya, Xiao etc. Zhongli to me personally, I don’t value shield but He can be between A+ or A-. Their use rate does not necessarily translate to utility and how good a character is. Nahida and Fischl can out damage 80% of duo comp. unless compared to whales or high constellation 5* and Refined weapons.

Yae is better when you have field time and in spread. Fischl's A4 is broken but it doesnt trigger in spread Yae also doesn't snapshot so shes worse in bennet teams However she can be better in chevrouse teams, again depending on field time requirements Yae's raw numbers are better but fishchl just has better circumstance with f2p weapon, low field time, broken A4, great C6 and being able to snapshot

Fischl is very good... in teams that aren't very meta. Her only meta team is Aggravate, and only Yae and Keqing are really used there.

@inser3882 Sure, depends. Personally, I get pretty good milage out of Aggravate Yae, and you can see her usage rates. (But those rates are also because she's good as a duo DPS in Spread teams.) Either way, I think Aggravate has meta worthy damage regardless of its popularity (or lack there of).
