Thanks for the video. I just got mine in the mail today. Cant set the tone squelch. I read pg 84 of the manual and #10 signal expansion is ON under signaling yet no option under #11 SQL TYPE. Need to check with other hams locally.

Just figured it out. I was in DIGITAL mode, I switch to FM analog and now I can perform setting. Thanks for your video, got me thinking more about it.

+archnapoletano Thanks for the question. To my knowledge you cannot show the alpha tags for both channels "A" and "B" at the same time.

+km4nsi km4nsi Thanks for the comment. To my knowledge you can't as the two programs are different as is the firmware in the radios.

Having a Issue.. Just got the FT1XDR and I setup from memory channels and I created two Memory banks one for 122MHz and one for 430MHz and then I linked the memory channels into them. in Band A I can Recall the Bank and all the channels but on Band B its tells me “NO BANK”?? can someone please help with this

wondering if it's possible to manually config an offset? got a repeater locally that has a negative offset of 1.035Mhz. on radio all i can move is from 1.000 to 1.500Mhz.

I spoke with Yaesu Tech Support this morning and I was told that 1.035 is not an "authorized" amateur radio pl tone. If anyone else has anything to add to this please do.

VideosByDPF I've never had successful answers from yaesu tech support so i take it with grain of salt. i can program two other yaesu radios with computer programs and get that offset to work. might be the case again with this

Nope, you're not "all set." Because you forgot to turn the PL tone on. Select "11 Tone Type" then turn the knob from Off to Tone.

robertsez - that one (TN) caught me too, but if you notice in the screen he does have it set to TN, but didn’t mention going to #11 SQL TYPE and specifically setting it to TONE. (AD0GF)
