HOLY COW. That is some of the best ballet I've seen performed by a youngster. Her control and presence is amazing for such a tiny package. She took her time to complete each movement and was totally in tune with the piece of music. I loved her smile as she danced. You can tell it was coming from inside her heart and not just pasted on for show. She is going places.

Asuka is incredible. And 10 years old. Wow. Beautiful technique, beautiful style, wonderful smile. She has so much charm. She shows such a respect for ballet in the delicate way she does the steps, and her expressive port de bras, and how she angles her head in different positions complimenting the steps. Everything is so delicate and precise but with feeling as well. I love how she puts so much into it. The way she rythmically moves her hands with such flair. She is so alive. What a beautiful solo. It's so good to see ballet in ballet shoes instead of pointe shoes because it really shows the foundation one needs for pointe and how hard you have to work to get there. . She has her technique down so beautifully. She will soar in pointe shoes! Her pique turns could have had more attack - something to aspire to. Asuka is such a beautiful young dancer and is such a sheer delight to see perform. Her parents must be so proud of her. And she also exudes a sweetness and innocense yet she has a high sense of artistry. Beautiful young girl, and dancer. She is a beaming sunflower of joy.
