There was a sweet simplicity to it all back then. 20+ years ago we went to escape the societal norms and expectations. It was an escape. Now it seems all the crowds wanna do is record it to show they were there. I hate sounding old but a pure underground scene like in the early electronic days will never exist again. Smartphones and social media all but ensure it.im glad I got to experience life before such things. It's sad the youth today will never know how beautiful and simple things could be.

I've had the honor of seeing the "real Tiesto" live back in 2007, during his "Elements of Life" Tour. It was hands down one of the greatest concerts I've ever been to. I went there like 4 hours early, just to be in the first row, and it was totally worth it. I was so close to Tijs, I could actually smell his perfume and at one point he even looked at me and smiled, because I carried a portable fan ;-). He didn't play "Voyage", but many other awesome classics and close to the end, he even dropped my (then) favorite track, "Adagio For Strings". It was the very first time I cried during a live concert, overwhelmed by the sheer awesomeness in front of me. What a shame he decided to throw it all away, just because of the money. Thank god Armin remained faithful to Trance!

Idk guys, seeing what he has become and what music he plays makes me wonder if he was always in it for the money. Back in the late 90's and early 00's Trance was huge. Actually mainstream, in some countries. Quite a few of "his" tracks from back then were ghost produced as well... He used to be someone i looked up to, to one i despise just as much as i dislike Afrojack, Kygo, Swedish House Mafia, Steve Aoki, etc etc.
