Thanks so much for making these videos with the score. I love, love, love being able to see how things are notated.

I like the juxtaposition of more regular rhythmic, pitch-simple material with the more complex & pitch- varied/ gestural writing.

Wow, great idea about the superimposed metronomes. This score must have taken a ridiculous amount of calculations to write. Is that Lilypond, Sibelius or something else? (Illustrator?)
@torrestoledolucas4 жыл бұрын
i'm also curious! maybe something like openmusic or max/msp bach.library for the calculations, and lilypond, sibelius, etc. for the engraving and editing.

the superimposed metronomes is just what fucks me; there are multi-rythms, is evident, so the 'tic-tac' should go out.

Why are people still doing this? After a century of boring sadism in classical music, hasn’t anyone realized that popular music is where the important statements are being made? It’s been so since the 20s and classical composers are still playing with their feces.

Brian Ferneyhough light.
@LlamaLlord216 жыл бұрын
Mark Adderley Not really. The notation is clear and uncomplicated to understand. To me this has much more in common with Tempus Ex Machina by Grisey.

what does 'light' mean? this is obviously not 'light music'! It has nothing to do with Ferneyhough though.
@NMIC3745 жыл бұрын
This approach is nothing like ferneyhough IMO, but I like his works as well!

What's your point? It's not Ferneyhough in the first place. It's its own thing.
