The appearance of Ya'juj & Ma'juj is one of the *major* signs of the End Times. A major sign is as obvious as the sun and the moon, hence it is Major. When it appears (and there are only ten), there will be no disagreement upon it between the Muslim scholars and even the people of sound and fair minds. To theorize that such a major sign has appeared and that only one person has recognized it, while the rest of the umma has not, would negate the very meaning of a Major Sign: a sign for which there can be no disagreement. Ya'juj & Ma'juj is from the mubham, the unknown and unclear terms in the Quran. Allah has left it unclear, not giving any details on it, intentionally. The normative Sunni position is that they (Ya'juj and Ma'juj) are part of ilmul ghayb (the knowledge of the unseen). The Prophet (peace be upon him) did dawah to them (did he do dawah to 'Modern Western Civilization'?). They will come out at the time of Isa (peace be upon him). Allah tells Isa that he will not be able to fight them because they are a mighty creation. Stop trying to appease kuffar with these pseudo-rational readings. True rationality is not conforming to the Kabbalistic worldview of naturalism and atheism (self-refuting garbage pushed onto the masses as a buffer zone between the elite and their masses and a false idea that man is God, leading to progression towards secularism). This time described by the Prophet is not the time of Isa (as) and this is a sahih hadith.
