YAKARI - EP19 - Yakari and the Coyote
Linden gives Yakari a broken canoe, which he fixes and takes for a ride on the river with Buffalo Seed and Rainbow. During a stop on the riverbank, Yakari meets a family of coyotes. He and Rainbow watch the little coyotes as they learn the technique of playing dead to escape a predator. Then the two young Sioux decide to camp for the night near the coyotes’ den, while they wait for Buffalo Seed to return from hunting. In the morning, the father coyote informs Yakari that Buffalo Seed is trapped in a cave, being watched by a cougar that he foolishly tried to hunt. Thanks to the clever father coyote, Yakari saves Buffalo Seed and the three friends set back out on the river.
