It’s hard to say and I’m put right in the middle of it in many cases. That’s being said, the opposite is also true where YakAttack has popularized a product and other smaller companies have made similar products as well.

Yakattack products are kinda expensive , but they are very well designed. I'm in the Automotive plastic industry. I know how much the molds cost to design, to build , to trial. The price and maintening injection machines. The price just of the resin raises every day. Moreless, Yakattack products realistic are a bargain. I have several products. The Yakattack bunkster cart is awesome!

@ChadHooverFishing Just EOAT( End of Arm Tooling) parts to construct one to extract a part from the mold using a robot in fully automatic mode are extremely expensive! Yakattack kicked off 23 molds. Those molds, I'm guessing, cost around $20k-$55k each. By the quality of the products I have, those are top notch molds. Sorry, I can go on and on Have a nice safe day 😁

Go to a truck stop and price heavy duty phone holders. It’s pretty much in line then add the “kayak accessories” tax. Lol

The only thing close is the RAM X-Grip at pretty much the same price and it’s nowhere near as nice, the rubber feet come off all the time and it takes two hands to use it unlike this one. This one also comes with the phone tether which would be a separate purchase anywhere else. I get it that some people just like to complain about the price of everything, but there is no world where this is overpriced for what you get.

None of those have a warranty, have a tether or can be used easily with one hand. Over the years, I’ve bought five or six of those and they have all been crap and didn’t last, so that’s when you actually pay the “cheap tax”

There is literally no tournament where they film from the front until after the angler catches the fish or brief shots with the drone for a few seconds here and there. The beautiful thing is each person can make their own decisions about what is and isn’t fishing and what they do and don’t enjoy.
