I have the exo warrior basket for the rear. The skinny warrior has the exact dimensions as the exo. Can i use the exo warrior as a roof rack if i buy the clamps parts for the skinny warrior for use of a roof rack? Im planning to buy the exo gear box for the rear.

Yep! You will need to add 4 sets of the Warrior Basket Mounting Hardware. You can always add the SkinnyWarrior Faring to really tie the roof top together!

Will the knobs get in the way of gear/coolers?

Nope! The top on the knobs sit just below the floor of the basket so your gear will sit flat.

Question: it looks like the crossbars are pretty thick, my crossbars are thinner, thus the two screws will protrude downward more, i wonder how much more before they hit the roof of my car?

The universal clamps of the SkinnyWarrior should fit your thinners crossbars just fine and the t-bolts and carriage bolts are orientated so they will protrude back up through the knob away from the roof. You should be good to go! You can always check your vehicle fit on Yakima.com.
