Well, according to the UN, Western Sahara belongs to Spain although it governs itself, according to Western Sahara they are independent because they govern themselves and according to Morocco it belongs to them. For me it is independent.

You did a super job on this, the dedication is simply amazing. I love trying to imagine how this could be done at different times, I did a comedy DVD for some nieces and the nephew and had Yahoo's world in the 1590s. He rhymes a country and "too" with "big tub of goo" for the HRE because there are literally hundreds of them inside the Holy Roman empire. Then the comedy just goes off the rails and he doesn't get back. :-)

For the world map, I traced the Goode's Homolosine Projection. Then colored each country in the color scheme of Yakko's World. For the glow, I highlighted the country with a lighter version of its color, then used the pencil tool to make it glow. For the other maps, like America/Europe map, I just traced maps of that continent instead. And for the song syncing with the video, I just added the audio first then started animating based on the audio.
