0:09 Kuroiwa actually used thug counter move against Majima. Pretty much a better matchup for Majima other than Lao Gui since both have a tendency to go for someone’s eyes. But Kuroiwa made it his signature after he killed his targets.

Look at the post-fight cutscenes closer, and you'll see the one who gouged out the eyes were Shono, and all the Mole did was kidnap targets and dump the bodies. That's why Kuroiwa said what he did right before dying.
