Legit, until I started taking the Platinum Hostesses to the Disco for the Training Dates, I thought that was the only dance move the female model had been programmed with. Then Yuki started busting out other moves, in addition to occasional fan-waving and it was a minor "mind blown" moment.

Being a nerd, I tracked the 11 tries it took me. It helped me to get stay motivated since I saw it was possible to beat her. These were her scores, if you want a metric to aim at: Mean: 7508 Minimum (and the score I beat her at): 6744 Maximum: 8184 Two of her scores were under 7000 (6744, 6852) Seven scores were between 7000 and 8000 (7378, 7400, 7452, 7496, 7588, 7636, 7712) Two scores were above 8000 (8142, 8184)

I beat her first try. The disco minigame is honestly so easy it's surprising that people struggle with it.

People have different strengths and weaknesses, so it's understandable that some folks struggled with the disco minigame, especially since the instructions the game gives you aren't super clear. I was getting my arse kicked on the easy difficulty before I understood how to actually play the disco minigame. That said, I kind of agree that once you become comfortable with the gameplay, it becomes much less intimidating. I personally struggled much more with bowling, the arcade games, and baseball. For instance, I beat Ogita on my second try, even though people on forums claim he's much harder than Isobe. It could have been because of the RNG giving him a low score; I could have been in a good mood when I played against him, idk. But I don't want to discount the struggle that some may have encountered while playing against him. Rhythm games aren't for everyone.

@@ichiban9662 When I look back I cant believe I ever struggled with it, but I'd also never played a rhythm game and sucked incredibly hard. The thing people struggle most with in this one is the RNG, if you're lucky then on your first attempt your opponent might get a really low score but the Disco King and Isobe can also high-roll you and get a pretty difficult score to beat, like OP is saying

I ended up doing them in the other order. Ogita kicked my ass for *ages*, whereas I took down Isobe inside of 15 minutes. It helps that her song is MILES easier than Ogita's, he has you dance to "Gonna Make Her Mine", the jerk.

Y'know, having recently played through Yakuza 0 myself... I don't think I could bear to leave this substory until postgame. Miss Isobe is a *monstrously* good Hostess for Majima's business, and half the customers in the Jupiter area practically ask for her by name. Unless you can freely change outfits in New Game+, but I don't believe so, I think that's only Premium Mode, which is purely a postgame sandbox mode. (Or a mod is used or something.)
