I do see why people hate Yakuza 3, or simply see it as a skippable game: Beyond his "curious gameplay", his story feels like a "What now?". As you said most of the characters that appears came from literlly nowhere, the story for my taste feels really rush and that It doesn't have a certain point, and Mine as a villain feels really lazy and rushed: When I first play it I thought that Anderson was going to be the final villain and not some random who even tho his actions are somewaht noble (In his way) feels like a last time change. I believe that what makes Yakuza 1&2 so enjoyble is their conections beetwen them, seeing how the conflicts from the 10 Billion are about to provoque a War beetwen clans, how the characters presented make sense to the plot, of course they have their downs as any other story, but I hope YOU understand. Sorry for the long text, I felt inspired.

I actually felt like Mine was pretty well developed over the course of the game. He starts out seeming like he’s a homie or at least one of the only sane men left in the Tojo, but that mask starts to slip as the game continues and more about him is revealed. Yeah, the dump at the end is a lot, but you don’t really need it to understand his character, which I think is a good thing. It just provides additional (possibly unnecessary, even) context for why he is the way that he is. I should also mention that Shibusawa does a VERY similar thing in 0, which not a lot of people criticize, and it’s arguably a lot worse in 0 considering that Shibusawa’s whole thing was hiding in the shadows until it was his moment to strike, which had the side effect of meaning that we knew jack shit about him before he became Dojima’s right hand man near the end.

tiger drop can still damage you for some reason
@keith7261 Жыл бұрын
Tiger drop doesn’t have s, but more importantly it doesn’t have the stun capability that the Komaki Parry has. If a boss isn’t in heat mode and is stunned you can set them up with combos from behind and then get more damage if they are bounding against the wall. Only downside to the Komaki Parry is that Im pretty sure it wont work against any leg attacks, so you have to know what animations to look for before going for the parry. From my experience there are only a few instances where Tiger Drop is better in this game; Coliseum fights against the mma fighters (idk what else to call them) where they do that running leg drop attack. But if you are doing a No Damage run then the tiger drop is practically useless in this game. Other than that it’s actually pretty easy to time, but still harder than the Komaki Parry usually.
@Neogears13122 жыл бұрын
I feel like rikiya was supposed to be a tutorial fight to show the importance of parry’s but the problem is 1. That’s not intuitive enough and 2. That’s not exactly a good idea, having a boss that forces you to learn a defensive mechanic like that because it bogs down the pace.
@YevhenRawrs2 жыл бұрын

Everyone chooses Hell's Gauntlet considering it does the most damage, more than enough times they'll use the original headbutt/headpress but never knock down since that does the worst damage.
@georgewalker37023 жыл бұрын
Knockdown is great crowd control. Head press is safe because you don't have to worry about QTE's. Hell's Gauntlet is the best one because it's very very easy to deal more damage than Head Press with it, but you need to be aware of the QTE's because it's very easy to miss them.
@toxicrush3 жыл бұрын
Knock down is only useful if there are multiple enemies (only andre 1 and hasabe have multiple enemies), head press is the quickest and does decent damage, which is useful if the boss is on low health anyway or you don't want to do qte's and hell's gauntlet does the most damage.

Eh. Whats the point if this is with clear data? Then again itd be boring if it was a fresh game. All my regrets for playing this on hard, especially against the big guy. It was only very late when i learned not to connect the start of my combo on enemies. The biggest pain werent the bosses but group encounters and getting womboed.
@imontheedgeofmyseat3 жыл бұрын
I like playing with clear data because I have access to my entire moveset that way, a fresh new game would be very painful for no damage, maybe not impossible but for yakuza I don't think it would be fun. Yakuza 3 definitely comes into its own on new game plus cause a lot of the boss fights feel designed around the parry you can unlock in chapter 5
@smokey01113 жыл бұрын
@@imontheedgeofmyseat You know what, you're right. Usually I prefer to play against the difficulty the devs intended and tuned (otherwise I'd play on easy), but 3 on hard is...poorly balanced for fresh players. @@imontheedgeofmyseat Btw, I gotta acknowledge your mastery of the game here.
