I feel people overrate Daigo's difficulty. Especially when Kiryu is powerful enough to skip phases. People complain about Daigo's parry but Kiryu has parries too. Not to mention Daigo is aggressive enough to eat counters like a bitch. Especially with his stupid superman punch. Also, Daigo's 3rd phase is a thicker heat graphic with lightning effects in the aura. 2nd phase is a semi super armor that can still flinch. 3rd is 100% super armor where nothing phases him.

@@ashikjaman1940 Whether a character is busted or not depends entirely on the enemies you have to face, kiryu in 4 and 5 is op when compared to the other characters, but he is also the most fun, they just need to give him challenging bosses to match his strength.

I hate using Saejima in 4, now I am loving using him in 5, but coming back to 4 I find him so hard to use, some of his movements are too slow compared to the people attacking you, his fighting style felt also very limited for me, it was very frustrating for me the feeling of "here I am using the Porthos of the team and he sucks to fight as him.", you're my absolute hero by beating Saito and Kiryu without damage on hard mode, because yes...I thought Kiryu was super hard to beat xD.

The subtitle called the successor to the legend cuz it was supposed to be the end of Kiryu saga. Unfortunately Japanese fans didn’t want Kiryu become a side character, which why we got Yakuza 5&6, the two games had almost zero connection with previous stories(I think Ishin & 0 as the anniversary games of the franchise were planned to have Kiryu as protagonist regardless the Kiryu saga ended at 4 or not)

One thing I found funny when I did Tanimura’s final boss, is that I abused his grapple because it has I frames I think and I just tossed all of the regular guards and by the end, because of how pathetic Munakata actually is, it was a battle between Tanimura and the Bodyguard Captain

I know I'm late but Yakuza 3/4/5 has an issue when played 30 FPS in its remaster. Like immediate speeding up in random encounter intros and frozen animations after doing certain heat actions (mainly visible in Y5 Remaster lmao).

38:14 this is another clue that confirms they decided to make Kiryu playable in Yakuza 4 late in it's development, and most of his fights are just reused bosses: saito, group of reused minibosses (richardson bootleg + generic hammer guy, etc), akiyama + tanimura (cool, but again, not new movesets), and daigo. QTEs were probably made in a hurry.

You can no damage munakata without weapon in hard only. In ex hard it's like impossible. I did no damage munakata without weapon. And i need a talisman for it. Just kill munakata first and then spam grab to everyone until the only one standing is the captain. Then kill him easily.

the Yakuza 4 Majima fight is way better than Yakuza 5's in my opinion just because fully upgraded Yakuza 5 Saejima is so comically overpowered that it legitimately makes all of his fights completely boring. I mean his headbutt counter is fucking ridicoulous for a start, but that's the least of it, I don't remember what the ability where he does not stagger when in heat mode is called but it completely breaks the whole game. He really just does not stagger. You can just spam any combos you want and nothing will ever stop you. You don't need to engage with Majima's moveset at all because you just punch through it, it does not matter whatsoever.. And of course his damage is also comically high so the fight basically ends before it began. Yakuza 5's Majima fight was one of the most underwhelming ones for me in the whole series because I was so hyped for it but the fact that Saejima just wipes the floor with him in a minute without the player needing to put in any effort or thought at all makes it incredibly anti-climactic.
