5 years later (thanks remastered lol) but to be fair, he does have a point. A leader who actually struggled to make it there is better than one who was handed the position on a silver platter. He just didn't realize that a) The people who currently are on top struggled to be there even with help and b) That getting help isn't necessarily a bad thing. Everyone can use some help after all.

I think Majima's character was at a peak here, he was willing to kill his sworn brother, probably the closest person he has to a family, just to protect Haruka. He knew what was like losing a child and didn't want Kiryu to go through that.

I remember little Haruka (9 years old) taking strollings with Kiryu and holding hands way back in the first game. And now this Finale where she took off in the middle of the concert to stay with family (Kiryu). That part was really cool and emotional. Yakuza games: best series ever.

Man, Majima here. "I couldn't do it. Kazzy loves her more than life itself." And having had Ms. Park or whatever her name was abort his child, he never got to have that, but from the side quest in Yakuza 0 where he lets a girl pretend to be his daughter he obviously seems to have wanted it. So touching. And good thing Majima was so injured for that fight, since he's one of the strongest guys in the series and albeit a lot older here, it's nice to see some plot explanations for some of his "I'm a boss and have to lose." jobbing.

It’s a hell of a lot more popular than it used to be. I played Yakuza 1 after renting it fromBlockbuster when it first came out. 2 came out and there were major fears 3 would never come to the West. I remember signing fan petitions that were sent to Sega. 3 had a lot of content removed from the Western version. 4 got a proper release but 5 was only available for digital purchase on the PSN for PS4. With 0 and 6 this game has become the most popular it has ever been. NO ONE talked about those earlier games. Trust me, I know. I was there lol. I see what you’re saying about not enough ppl knowing about these games but the general awareness of these games is the highest it’s ever been. They will never be (nor would be) super popular in the West. The game has a very big Japanese sensibility to them and the sprawling stories that connect all the games is going scare many potential players away.

This finale and ending were everything I wanted from Yakuza 4. The manly tears, the speeches about dreams and whatnot... I already knew Haruka would drop the idol career in the end but it all made sense upon actually seeing it happen. No dream is worth cutting ties with the people you love (and she was mostly in it for the money anyway). Akiyama finally getting the respect he deserves was an welcome surprise as well. Same for the evil mastermind having a goal that actually made a lot of sense despite the convoluted plan, and Shinada turning out to be a better character than I had given him credit for. Yakuza 5 has its ups and downs but it's definetely among my favourites in the series.

Just wait it out or pick up the Prequel of the first game Yakuza 0 and then hopefully the remake of the 1st game in 2018, Yakuza Kiwami. They're all good people fighting for a good cause. No yakuza should be arrested for doing something right. Aizawa tried to kill Daigo and his dad tried to become the clan leader, And Baba was helping them. And in the beginning they helped the civilians. with the four sub machine gunners. Yakuza 5 is really touching because they help each other in a time of pain and distress..

I give a big rant about this ending. One thing, what Haruka did really a big disappointment for me. So many people sacrifice to make her be Idol. And she just retire with a shit fashion. (Sorry, for anyone like that ending. I don't) Mirei Park dies and even sacrifice everything to make sure Haruka be Idol. Akiyama go through shit and hard time to make her Idol, Kiryu try protect Haruka from afar, Majima got kidnapped, beat down, and even will sacrifice himself to help Haruka, that Omi Patriach friend of Majima also do so much for Haruka and T set. And she just, fuck that I'm a girl raise by Yakuza. Spoiler Yakuza 6 here.. . . . . Even more shitty, in Yakuza 6 she cant go back to Morning Glory. She left morning Glory, and got pregnant, got herself into a mess between Tojo and Triad from chinese. Got kidnaped again. When I see this ending, I really mad. Actually mad at Haruka. I scream, Seriously!

+Omgitsgodzilla they basically agreed that Kiryu should check out Tojo HQ while Akiyama settles his grudge with Kanai and his gang. And I think Akiyama knows that when Kiryu goes to deal with something, he deals with it. Quite frankly, I had a harder time against 'Crocodile Dundee' Kanai and his merry band of goons, than against 'beast of a man but pretty fair' Aizawa. And wouldn't helping Kiryu be Daigo's responsibility? It's his house that they were partying in, he asked Kiryu to go there, and he wasn't as occupied as Shun at the moment. Heck, he could've sent Sajiema or Majima, or maybe even Katsuya over

lmao that completion total. I know you only played through the main story but it still looks funny. I myself finished all the side quests/training/another drama stuff/etc and I only got through about 45-50%. Mind boggling how much there is to do in the game, yet at the same time most of the things I didn't go through are is just useless stuff like winning a game in beginner golf or catching this species of fish. About the ending though it was pretty confusing. Probably the worst ending out of all the games so far in how it's written. Firstly disappointed about Haruka completely giving up her dream (cause I honestly loved the idol segment the most) and since she was so adamant on following it. But it was also confusing how she even got to Kiryu or knew where he was. I mean I laugh off most of the storyline with how many double crossings and fake deaths there are, but it bothered me how cut off the ending felt. I actually super curious what we have in stall for number 6. Will we still have multiple/the same seemingly staple now protags? What will they all be up to? The expected four year jump in time is going to be weird. Haruka is a real adult now and from the demo Kiryu is going Benjamin Button on us.

I don't ever see them going down that route since it goes against everything Haruka's character has been till now but I can't deny it'd be interesting. Saya He did 22 hours of a 50 hour story lol I guess coz its easy difficulty. I did 70 hours and 44 minutes, did almost all side quests for Kazuma, Akiyama and Saejima and 9 of Shinadas. leveled up Haruka quite a bit, did some of her jobs and 5/9 side quests and I also did Kazuma's side story and taxi missions.....14%.....god damnit lol

This and Yakuza 0 were pretty long games. But 5 kinda overstays it's welcome by giving it 21 chapters. The game was still a blast to play. Atleast in 0 they've balanced things out so it doesn't drag.
