As cheesy and corny as it is. I like to think at the end of kiwami. Nishiki proved himself worthy enough to become a dragon and was reincarnated as ichiban

That’s a good way of putting it. Also what’s weird is that Ichi is wearing red much like Nishiki and honestly I feel the story would have been different if Nishiki turned himself in, I guess that’s why we have Ichi since both of them have parallels in their stories as well Ichi’s Dragonfish.
