Yeah, I started with 0, no knowledge of the rest of the series. Blew through 0 in a long weekend, loved it so much. Yakuza 1's is bloody accurate. I started with 0, NO knowledge of the franchise beforehand, with the exception of a gif of PS2 Kiryu decking a tiger. So, I finish 0, and I'm in love with the franchise as a whole. Of course, I look up Yakuza 1, discover that hilarious English dub, and that Kiwami had been recently announced. Yeah, especially THE SAME DAY the ending of 0 happened, I was t ready for that trailer to show Nishki as the main antagonist IMMEDIATELY.

The Majima everywhere system in Kiwami 1 is honestly one of my favourite game mechanics for games I've played, being able to face off Majima whenever I want and get rewards is fantastic because hes so fun to play against and I honest love each fighting style he has when fighting him. Hearing Kiryu-Chan! Always brings a smile to my face when playing the game.

Kuze went to prison. In RGG online, a Japanese only moble game, he got released in 1999 and tried to rejoin the Tojo Clan but failed and I guess remained a civilian. Keep in mind that RGG Online isn't really considered canon it's just some bonus content

The real question is whether you're doing the prison section in 4 with NG+ Saejima with all skills unlocked, or base-level Saejima. Saejima without his skills is a very weak character in 4.

Yep. Kuwana was killing former bullies years after their victims had already died. That does nothing to prevent further bullying, it just hurts people close to them and endangers people like Sawa, who were connected to the situation Even if he’s right about the Japanese legal system, his whole deal is that he was an awful teacher who ignored bullying until the victim died. Unlike Yagami, who recognized the bullying as it happened and prevented it without getting the criminal underworld involved
