By Observation, the theme here is that testable "merit" is what is being rewarded in elite law firms, not by meritorious achievement, but by the assumption that high earnings are the measure of a true value other than the quality of legal administration, and no one looking at the imbalance presented can believe that, except those taking payment for performances in role-playing political stances.., ie otherwise empty postures. Of course this is the presentation that should stimulate the students to ask why. The deep horror we eventually realize, is that a "good performance" of perfected hypocrisy can make deliberately ignorant avoidance of true facts appear to be uninformed innocence.., "it's a gift".
