Me too man. The 1st show Almost didn't happen because the fire marshal thought we were an unsafe crowd after like 1000 of us rushed the floor from the nose bleeds after the Cult finished their set. That whole show was epic insanity. A friend of mine was a roadie for them and told me about the fire marshal and that James and the guys were ecstatic about how the crowd was insane and loved playing Seattle for that reason. You were there. The energy and power exchange between Metallica and the crowd was Electric

Love your reaction I really really do love it. I’ve been in Metallica concerts before but the first time was in 1993. I was 14 years old and with my friends and came back the next day. That concert is tattooed in my mind and my soul. I have never felt like this before. I’m glad to have this tattooed performance in me so can just close my eyes and feel it again even after almost 30 years later. I thank Metallica for that And thank you. You really should listen to “for whom the bells tolls”. It not a fast one but the vibe and the energy they providing you’ll be amazed.

Die hard here! I was about 15 and it was 1985! It took some time back then for music to get around by word of mouth and magazines- no air play- no internet. The first song I heard was seek n destroy. I was hooked! First time I saw them live was when they opened up for Ozzy in my small town arena before cliff died! Last time was in 2018 where I got to take my barely adult boys with me- yes I bred Metallica fans- like they had a choice. I did also catch the drivin concert they had this summer.

I saw Metallica preview this song on the Monsters of Rock with Van Halen, Scorpions, Dokken and Kingdom Come. and they blew them all off the stage. I saw them at JFK stadium in Philly with about 80K people most of which were there to see Metallica. As soon as they started this track I said to friends if this song indicates what the rest of the album will be like we are in for one heluva record. I wound up being correct. and Justice For All was probably the last great Metallica thrash album. The Black album was a crossover to more mainstream Metal.

🧡🧡🧡 The best I can do is finding them when I was in 6th Grade when the Black Album came out. My two favorite bands of all time are Metallica and Rush, and it depends on my mood on which is 1 and 2. For dinner or of this world playing, find a live video of Rush playing YYZ.
