The opening scenes of this rail video make me feel familiar with the railways of my country. It’s very interesting to see how Japanese trains travel on railways where vegetation is prominent. These landscapes, where nature appears along the tracks, give it a more beautiful and fantastic touch. Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful footage; I am proud that Japan has this incredible treasure that we greatly appreciate: the railways. Greetings, and have an excellent week.❤

The brand new and beautiful E8 series 😎👍 Since March 15, 2024, the JR-East E8 Tsubasa series shinkansen perpetuates the spirit of a region initiated by the E3 series in 1992. This brand-new shinkansen in the mini Shinkansen series expresses itself in the colors of its bodywork, an even gradation of safflower yellow, a reflection of Yamagata. The E8 series is the work of Kiyoyuki Okuyama, known as Ken Okuyama, responsible for the design of the Honda NSX. Kawasaki Heavy Industries will produce the 15 units from 2022 to 2026. The E8 series comprises 7 cars, 5 of which are powered. The E8 and E3 series are mini shinkansen, whose reduced gauge enables them to use conventional 1435 mm lines, and can be used in multiple units with the E5 series at the same gauge, unlike the other shinkansen series which use 1067 mm. The E8 Tsubasa series serves the Yamagata Shinkansen, gradually replacing the E3 Shinkansen. The Yamagata Shinkansen connects Tokyo with Yamagata/Shinjo. It went into service in 1992 after the section between Fukushima and Yamagata on the Ōu main line was converted to allow direct passage of the Shinkansen. The line was extended to Shinjo in 1999. The Fukushima region hit by the triple disaster of March 11, 2011, Underwater earthquake ( 130 km EST 🇯🇵 magnitude 9.1) ,Tsunami (30-meter wave), Tepco Fukushima Daiichi power plant (reactor, 1,2,3,4). The next day, the only measures taken were to raise the height of the dikes.
