Nice video, like that electric pump idea. I use the hand, self-contained vacuum type. A top tip recommendation is also to fill the new oil filter about half way with fresh oil prior to install so that upon start up, you minimize air bubbles into the engine oil vein system...

I just left a deposit for a yamaha boat , beside the maintenence have you guys had any problems with the boat like repairs or faulty electrical issues?

Nice! So far nothing major other than user error 🤣🤣 The rear of the boat has a door to access the jet plugs, always remember to plug em back in and latch the door or engine will shut off as a safety feature our latch broke off one time and the boat shut off while we were in the water so that was pretty scary.

I’ve just been experiencing this switch shutting off my boat. The latch isn’t always latching. Really annoying.

Talked with my dealer, it’s in the settings button on the far right. Looks like a gear. Then it’s reset in the bottom, it resets the whole thing. Says it can’t be undone. Then you have to reconnect blue tooth and everything. It sucks it’s a factory reset.

Nice to see Kevin opening the door for his lovely lady! What a gentleman! I use an old plastic bag and wrap it around the filter on my Harleys. They have similar filters. Then just throw the whole mess away. I wonder about the Yamaha oil. 4W? Do you really have to use Yamaha oil? It looks like it's just 10W40. Why pay more? It's somewhat hard to find sometimes, but I use it in my Volvo Penta V8 in my Cobalt. Penta oil is ridiculously expensive. The filter is a drop in type. Totally different. Thanks Rick for continuing to tune in! No, we don't have to use the Yamaha oil its just preference. The gentlemen at the store did offer other selections. Definitely lucky to have a store nearby with a wide variety. Thanks again!

You also need to be aware of your warranty and use of official Yamaha oil and filters. They will also require proof of service AND use of Yamalube if you have any type of engine issue.
