I ask this because I want to edit the instrument voice and the vocal separately and I am not sure they will combine into one single track and go into my Mac or not. Hi,Thnks in advance for you enlightening, I have some questions:Can I use Yamaha as standalone interface without using computer to plug in a guitar and a Mic? If so, can I use any USB mobile or iPad charger to make it operative? I´ve been using a good recording app in my iPad called AURIA which I am familiar with, does that Yamaha AGs compatible with any recording app in iOS or just Cubasis LE that come with it? Hi Robert, great question! Both of these mixers have dedicated headphone outputs with separate control from the main monitor speakers. I would use that output for your IEMs! To make it clear, the monitor input for headphones can be used for higher impedance headphones (80 or 250ohm) in order to boost them and receive pc audio exclusively such as youtube videos or video game sounds? It's confusing me since some use it to monitor incoming vocals etc. and I want to use the mixer/audio interface for a dynamic microphone (discord calls etc.) and beyerdynamic headphones for mixing instrumentals in a daw and listening to music/game sounds in general.

I've heard there is no iPad editor for the AG06 yet. Can the iPad recognize each of the 6 channels separately and make them simultaneously available for separate editing/effects processing? or will it just recognize 1 and 2 and only when it's on the DRY CH 1-2?

What would you recommend between this, Steinberg UR22 and Focusrite Scarlett 2i2? Purpose: home recording (mostly guitar/vocals), and playing live with a MIDI controller keyboard.

This one seems like the best option unless your keyboard only has midi connections (no USB) in which case the UR22 would be the best choice. Take latency into account too.

I have a groove box/drum pad that outputs to two line-level, 1/4” TS mono cable connectors, for Left and Right channel audio. Could I plug them into the channel 1 (XLR mic/TRS/TS combo) and the channel 2, 1/4” TS (Guitar/Line level) ports to and keep that stereo signal since both channel 1 and 2 accept line level, mono TS connectors? I ask because I’m trying to keep my gear as portable as possible and I may get away with just getting the Yamaha AG03mk2 instead of the AG06 if channels 1 and 2 can act as my left and right channels from my device. Hello, NostgeoffHI-FI! I don’t recommend using channel 1 and 2 for this on the AG03mk2 as you describe because there is no pan control on channel 1. A better way to do this is to take your left and right outputs and patch them into channel 2 and 3, respectively. Nice review, I am confused between Motu M2 and AG06. I need audio interface or mixer for skype/zoom calls as well as screen voice over, I will be using Shure sm58. Can you tell me which one should I got for? Please suggest it will be great help.

Hey, Yogesh! Thanks for your interest. Both could work really well for video/audio and voiceover work. The AG06 may have some benefits for live calls and streaming because it has compression/EQ built right in to the board, a dedicated headset input, and an aux input. The guitar channel is also a synth channel. You can connect a synth to the stereo inputs of that channel.

I am looking to find out will this unit give me an output with reverb as my mic is going directly into my camera and via hdmi through an blackmagic coverter so i dont have any out of sync issues. The controller i am using for all of this is the atem mini pro which does not have any reverb effects.
