Hank, I don‘t know how you are spotting these things, but it is stunning. Considering that you still need something to record (I guess a mini SD-card slot would have been a bit of a stretch… 🤣) and you‘d need to bring along a laptop (or possibly a tablet) anyway, I would say Røde Connect still has the edge (minus the line input). I love it that they are pushing the boundaries and for 150$ it would be a no-brainer, but for 290 you can get 3 NT-USB minis or Videomic Go II‘s with Røde Connect or a Zoom P4 with a Podmic or with 4 Behringer XM8500‘s. Still you are right, this is a beast and I love it!

I think I would have passed out if there was a micro SD card slot on it. LOL! That would have been absolutely insane! I agree with you that if you're going to need a laptop anyway, the RODE Connect would be a more viable option. Honestly, I miss my Zoom P4. I have too many interfaces right now anyway but the P4 is a great small format device. Thank you so much for commenting and taking the time to watch. It's greatly appreciated.

So it's basicly an audio interface built into the mic. Not a bad idea. Don't have to bring your Scarlett, Fuse whatever with you. Just grab the mic and your laptop and hook a lapel mic with a trrs end on it (Rode has a nice one) and you have your interview kit right there. Very intriguing.

I have yamaha mixer ag06 they took the loopback feature and audio interface and put it into a mic. nice

Yamaha makes good stuff, from motorbikes to mixers. This should be a good microphone.

My very first podcast mixer was from Yamaha. I really enjoyed it for years and years. Seems like they will be dipping into streaming. Can't see what else they have in the future.
