Yamaha BB 734A Bässe!

Hallo zusammen, auf Grund dieser Präsentation habe ich mir vor ca. 4 Monaten einen bb 734A gekauft. Ich hatte das Glück denn fast unbenutzt gebraucht zu bekommen. Er steht meinem doppelt so teuren PH Bass in nichts nach. Ich habe La Bella Flats aufgezogen und seit dem ist er mein Haupt Bass. Ich bin kein Slapper, spiele in einer Band mit nur eigenen Kompositionen, die allerdings Stilistisch sich in einem großen Spektrum bewegen. Von Rock über jazzig bis Reggae. Alles kein Problem. Ein sehr tolles Instrument. Danke Marco, und Gruß.

Hi Marco, Wie würst du dem Passiven Sound von der BB734 beschreiben im vergleich mit der BB434 Bass? Ich möchte gerne einen 5-saitiger Yamaha BB Bass kaufen, aber Ich weiß nicht welche Bass 'The best bang for the buck' hat. Sorry for my poor German language skills! Great demo as always!

Hey Roland, sorry for delay. If you really want to go for a passive sound, which is my favourite anyway....then the BB434 will be the best choice. Darker, warmer with a little bit of woody tone.....this one sounds very "classic" to me. The 734 indeed is the best bang for the buck. So, when your heart loves the active thing, and you want to change tone real quick....then this one could be THE one for you. Often it is just meatter of having enough or not enough money....we all know that. If not , you could buy both !!! The tone in this one is much brighter and has sometimes a electronic sounds which i do not prefer at all. On stage i always deal a lot with the passive tone pot...it does not effect the volume...which is better when you don´t want to fuck up with the sound man. My opinion : BB434 !!!! P S : with less words : they sound different...the 734 in passive is not the same as the 434. find a good store where you can compare...or visit us in Frankfurt :-)

Sure. Yamaha resized their pickups to match the common size. So you should be able to switch them.

Ich schwanke aktuell zwischen einem Yamaha BB-735 und einem ESP LTD AP-5, wäre toll wenn ihr den ESP auch mal ordentlich testen könntet :)
