We use to build quite a few 240's back when the Blasters would race against the Honda 300's at our local TT Events.Put a 100 pound kid on a decently built 240 Blaster set-up for TT/Flat track and your DEF Goona get a Bunch of Smiles Per Gallon, lol.Keepup the good work Michael,I really enjoy your channel.

34mm carb and intake keep the oil injection on it. Install a 10.3:1 compression piston do a full port n polish. Fun! I built my daughter's Yamaha blaster and even worked the transfer ports. It pulls with taller front sprocket and smaller rear sprocket. More top end.. also matched the head with the piston because it was 1mm over . Took it to the limits of pump gas. My daughter likes the straight line hook up of 22 inch rear tires out Back and 23x7 up front. Top speed is around 72mph. On GPS .. stock was 55mph

Great bikes easy to work on. I built one for my son ported and polished, 4” over lone star swing arm, long travel a arms, works shocks, +2 steering stem, banshee brakes front and rear, lone star +4 axle and more. Great reliable bike fun to ride for even me. If you want to take it out riding before you tear it down pull the clutch cover off and adjust it first tho. Great purchase Mike you cant touch those in phx for under $2000 last time I checked

@@MichaelSabo JD Customs makes a relocation bracket for the front shock top mount to run a taller shock. I run TRX450ER front shocks on my Blaster and the rear Elka with remote res from the same 450ER. Transforms the quad. The stock Blaster and Banshee pogo sticks are awful. I do have the stock 450ER rear shock that will fit the Blaster np. If you want it, it's yours. :)

Stock is 230(Mikuni jets). With the pipe and no lid, 250-260 should do it perfect. Looks like the clutch side main seal might be gone and it's sucking in case oil, hence the smoking/bogging. Also, keep the stock bore and stroke and go for porting and head recut... Blows a 240 BB right out of the water no contest.

90 percent of us are not Michael and would not buy one if these to completely strip down and rebuild. The fact that he keeps finding things to fix before he even takes it for a test rip.... Whew... I've learned that lesson of what to look for... I hope you do too.

It's really challenging to find all of the issues on a used machine like this to make it ready for the trails without tearing it down; usually to be found DURING a ride on the trails... breaks on a hill climb usually 😂

I did just that during lockdown. I completely rebuilt an 03, in my living room with cardboard on the hardwood. LOL

I found using a mould cleaner for the home, one that is based off bleach removes those marks, its great at breaking down organic material, just need to make sure your run off isnt going in to the storm drains the first time you wash after using, not great for aquatic life.

Cut the rubber on the bottom of the handlegrip with a boxcutter or blade where the thumb throttle is. That should help it not sticking.

I notice putting a little bit of diesel can clean up plastics. Especially white plastics. Gas works as well but I found diesel to be the most effective.

I've heard of gas cleaning up plastics before; have not tried diesel but I use that in my parts cleaner and it works great!
