Yamaha CK88 vs Yamaha MODX8+: Sound vs Sound COMPARISON! Which one SOUNDS better?

This isn't a perfect comparison, but generally, both sound excellent. The MODX+ is better on the FM EP, since it has real FM, instead of a sample. But, otherwise, they're very close. So it really comes down to whether you want a full workstation with lots of configurability and capabilities, but a crappier action and more complex interface. Or whether you want a stage piano with lots of excellent presets, that's very simple to use and has a better action for the money. That's something that depends on your needs and preferences. But both are excellent instruments which are close to the top of their respective categories.

I think they both sound great (my pick would probably be the MODX8+) but it would be nice if a similar midi registration and the same octave would be played when comparing two sounds from different units. Is this the case here? Thanks a lot for the comparison anyway.
