The Yamaha Clavinova is awesome no matter what kind you choose. My choice would be the flagship model in the CLP series.

Summary: All are weighted and 88 keys, high quality sound, USB/midi CLP- Closest to an acoustic piano action/feel CVP- Most entertaining, leans more towards professional, more sounds, has "arranger" built-in CSP- More student friendly, connects to ipad/phone for lessons, converts audio songs into scores

I would like to report a situation that perhaps you at Alamo and some other users/members can help me with. I have a Yamaha CLP 685 piano, which I love, but I have a complaint that bothers me a lot: the sustain pedal is very hard and, despite the great keyboard, my foot gets tired sometimes. Is there any way to fix this problem? Perhaps a different spring or application of some type of lubricant. I've heard reports in some digital piano communities with this same complaint about the 685, but apparently no solution... Do you have any suggestions or solutions for this problem? thanks in advance

the csp I prefer its even better if you can get the CSP170 cos that has the weight and feel of ordinary piano keys and you fingers dont slide as much as they can do on plastic the CSP also has mic input as well as midi ,bluetooth ,and dual headphone sockets if you wanted to use that it is also a fully functional piano in its own right meaning you do not always need to use the app you do have a function button that you can use with key combinations if you couldn't use a iPad or tablet its streaming lights are brilliant so are its onboard lessons

There is no comparison - The DGX is a portable keyboard, with XG midi sounds - not super articulated sounds like a clavinova - If you can buy it on Amazon it isnt the high quality stuff. a DGX 660 will run you $800. a CSP170 is around $4k.

very close - The CVP 805 and 809 have the best action similar to a 785 CLP. The CSP170 action is similar to the CLP795GP

I have the opportunity to buy a clp 155 for 100 bucks. it's at least 15 years old. I'm just a frequent 0layer at home, but I do want a half decent sound like on a real piano, reverb pedals and velocity sensitive (sorry, not english native, I hope you know what I mean). can the clp 155 provide that?

Good luck finding replacement parts. Yamaha does not carry replacement parts in the long run. Be aware!!!!!!! if you buy their pianos.
