I had my secondhand 809 delivered 2 days ago and I’m feeling rather overwhelmed at the moment. I needed an instrument that would allow single finger chords because I have a couple of deformed fingers on my left hand. I played violin when I was young and took up the keyboard a few years ago, not really taking it very seriously as I lacked any guidance and just picked at it when the mood took me. Now the 809 had me drooling when I heard it online and in my local retailer and I knew I would have to take it seriously if I was going to enjoy it without feeling horribly frustrated a lot of the time. Your video, and the rest of the series is really going to help me find my way round this extraordinary machine., and make progress. Thank you so much. I have just ordered the book on Amazon so I can start work/play tomorrow!

It should do one fingered just by holding the note down when accompiment is on

I’m watching this video two weeks after the livestream. It’s great to see Tom playing the new Clavinova. There are loads of demos on KZbin of this keyboard, but this is undoubtedly the best.

If you change voice while holding the keys down for the previous voice will it carry that previous voice until next key strike?

Dang. Tom, I don't know how it's possible, but your piano playing is better than your organ playing. And you're organ playing is SUPERB. So versatile. I can't believe you can keep all that music and those styles/variations in your head. WOW. Just WOW. There's something else I'm not sure people appreciate: your detailed knowledge of the technical functions of these instruments and just how to use each and every one. It's really incredible!
