YAMAHA DM3 Update Firmware V 2.00

You surprised me, since Yamaha says it’s inserts only in channels and matrixes, but we’re not mentioning the buses. So I just checked and to my delight, inserts are on the mix buses, too! And well, the upgrade procedure was nerve wracking for me, too. I did not find any mentioning of a manual power cycle step anywhere in the online documentation. So when the black screen with a blinking cursor showed up, I was waiting like 25 minutes, before I decided to switch off, wait a couple of seconds and then switch back on, all with the USB stick staying in place 😪

When u decided to turn off are the mixer still work??

Unfortunate you bro.. The USB Stick must be unplug from the usb port, if yours case like that. But You are more patient than other i think. Cheers 😅

Dante should also be updated. The method is to connect the computer with a running program and turn off the mixer (dante controller). After connecting it to the software and connecting it turn on the mixer and it will read(dante controller) and ask you do you want to update and then everything will be fine.

Betul, tapi untuk di video ini saya menggunakan DM3-Standard, Type yang tidak ada fitur Dante 🙏

Mas kalu diupdate setting yang lama kekal atau hilang?

Sepengetahuan saya, Kalau file default/bawaan dari DM3 tidak hilang, tapi untuk files yang kita simpan semisal setelah events itu akan hilang. Jadi sebelum update FW, biar lebih aman bisa di save dulu ke usb stick atau penyimpanan di Computer, untuk files kita. Mohon koreksinya jika apa yang saya sampaikan kurang tepat. Terimakasih
