Yamaha DX7 40th Anniversary Patches

This is demonstration of great Yamaha DX7 synth patches created by Off The Matrix. The patches were developed over a period of 20 years and released for the 40th anniversary of the DX7. The patches unleash the true capabilities of the Yamaha DX7, making it one of the best synthesizers of all time. All the the sounds in the track are from the DX7 except the drums which are from a Yamaha V50 and a choir patch from the SY77.

I went though all of my patches from 2008. Got a Mr. Twang, a Mr. D and a Mr. Hobart. Must have been a different patch.

hello, is it now possible to insert sounds from the yamaha dx11, not only from the dx7, the difference is the synthesis, the dx11 has more possibilities and synthesis

Yes ,The DX11 has more possibilities than the DX7 because it has additional wave forms to work with. I'm not sure what you are asking, but the Montage can only read DX7 patches not DX11 sounds. There is Off The Matrix banks for the DX11. www.offthematrix.net/product-page/tx81z-dx11-patches

@@offthematrix5310 thank you very much for the answer, yes, the montage does not have those additional waves for work like the dx11, but it has the functions of the dx7, and it is limited with fm synthesis, if there was the possibility to do the same as on the dx11 fm synthesis, that would be ideal

I got it last year from a shop on the web but can't remember the name of the site. I thought it was something like retro sound but can't find it with a web search.

Thanks, I will look for it. I like the black T shirt with just Alogithm 1 on it... I expect people would ask, "What is that on your shirt?" Of course to be a purest the T shirt color would have to be very dark brown and not black. I am looking for one that has the OPS block diagram on it... that is the core of the DX7. Joann fabrics has silk screen kits... I think... maybe I can make one of my own. That reminds me, they sell GM ceiling fabric and I need to replace the fabric in my Fiero GT headliner. DX7s, Fieros,.... all I need now is a Member Only jacket [laugh].
