Yes i bought them all. Nina Stern who is a Julliard professor uses the ecodear soprano too. You can see it on her fb.

There are actually two soprano Yamaha Ecodear recorders--the baroque-fingering one is a Rottenburgh, and the other one is a German-fingering one. I overwhelmingly recommend the baroque-fingering one.

Maybe it's the way I play it, but I find the Edodear Alto collect saliva rapidly, and I must stop my practice and blow it out frequently. I wonder if others have this problem. Otherwise, I like the recorder.

I think it will gradually go away, i practiced real hard and I noticed that saliva clogging goes away and i always sip hard on rests. haha

Is the 48B more powerful in volume because of the bigger airway? Looking after which one to get..

its actually yra 48 b, yes its more power ful. but the 492 b is better on high notes.

I have the YRA 402B and the YRS 402B . After seeing this video , I would like to buy the YRA 48B , but can not find this model anywhere . Anyone know where to buy one ? Is this model discontinued ? This was a good comparison video . I look forward to seeing more .

But there's a reward: a beautiful like-no-others overtone sound and surprisingly easy response to higher register :) Now, IF you dream about a TRULY BALANCED alto recorder, get nothing less superb AULOS 509B Symphony! 👍 Happy playin'!

@@baroquer thank you so much, i know a video here on youtube, she played on a stage using Haka by aulos. Thats why im looking for one. Alto and soprano.

Please, DO consider the excellent Aulos 509B "Symphony" as well, you won't regret - It's more balanced and louder than the Haka B) PS: Alas, the soprano is not as good as its amazing alto counterpart, if you ask me...something is just-not-right (and it's uncomfortably narrow)
