Yamaha FX SHO Cruiser - Top speed run, with obstacles

Can't afford to make a wrong turn at speed, no brakes, no room to slide the ski sideways to stop.

Thank G_d you were cautious. Good on you. Only at the end you took some blind corners - there are SO MANY kayakers out there these days that gone are the days of blowing through swamps and mangroves on a ski. Thanks for being smart about it.

Can only do it on high tide, maybe 2 feet deep at the shallowest. No gators. Biggest issue is old farts in kayaks. Need to make sure it's clear before running fast. Best to have someone watch the entrance and exit points to make sure you don't get any surprises coming round a turn.

Very true. The videos out the back are the same runs but it looks much faster. I could also meet someone coming the opposite direction. No brakes and no room to kick the ski sideways to stop. Kayaks use this route too and you can't see around the next turn. Not as easy as it looks.

Just regular waterproof GoPro Hero2 case with a head mount. I just bought an external mic for my Hero2 and Hero3 Black and will try mounting it in different places, like under the engine cover on my boat. Sound should be better but will find out about wind noise when I use it.

No, but it's difficult to know which way to go. It looks different depending on the tide. The videos I posted looking backward during the same run are more dramatic.

Kind of reminds me how we ride quads up here in the woods. How deep is that back there? any gator problems or encountering other boats around turns? Looks like a blast im jealous

+Salvatore Giovanni ...Well Salvatore, this is what a mangrove reserve looks like and it's a blast to run through. Just outside the mangroves is the beautiful, wide open, warm Gulf of Mexico and white sand beaches. Running circles on wide open water gets boring pretty quickly. Good luck with that cold lake.
