I’ve been enjoying the heck out of mine! The instruments and drums sound so real! Manipulating styles on the go so the song doesn’t sound like it’s just a drum machine makes everything sound so organic. If I start playing, I find I just can’t stop lol! Also the registration system is fantastic!!! I also like the software to create your own styles from a midi song really convenient, for example if I like a “band in a box” style better than a genos2 style, it’s easy just to convert it to one! I also like the second touch. Finally just playing it as a piano , with vocals is certainly competitive with previous piano type keyboards I’ve used before, over the years.

Finally an arranger keyboard that sounds as good as a synthesizer? I always wondered why manufacturers choose to use cheaper hardware in their arranger keyboards than in their synthesizers. Also the Genos2 won't blow a Montage away, but at least it doesn't sound like a wet sock.

@@doordedeur I agree this is the first keyboard I had that had sounds that were better than nearly every keyboard I ever had except in the organ department it’s not quite as good as the Hammond xk3c.

@musictheory4u153 Answer: To keep the weight low and for faster riffs. There is another manufacturer that offers an arranger with 88 weighted keys, but unweighted / semi-weighted is more versatile.

⁠@@performtransformI hear you - I wish it was cheaper. It’s plastic to keep the weight down. This type of plastic is very durable and the curves in the design makes the Genos2 even stronger.

with all the styles you said this keyboard has, like 800 of them, why you focused sole/mostly on the retro/80s music to showcase the capabilities of this keyboard? was the power of your creativity limited to that genera?

That’s what I notice with all channels on KZbin .. they always play the classic songs ….cant find any channel that plays at least 2020 songs onwards

@@Denvermorgan2000 but not remotely near what film composers use nowadays. A McDonalds can't be compared to a 3-star restaurant, for the same reasons consumer keyboards (even if it's at the high end) don't compare to studios running the latest libraries.
