MODX is better suited for music production if auto accmpaniments are not really your thing. MODX is probably the best workstation/synth I could afford. If I was rih I would buy a Montage M.

The MODX is a completely different category. As you probably know, it is a stripped-down version of the Montage, which is a professional performance instrument to play in a band setting. It is not comparable to any arranger. I got a MODX 8 as well, and it has absolutely sublime Rhodes and Organ sounds, and on top of that, it is a true synthesizer, etc. So, you probably better watch out for a cheap arranger, may be a Genos "1" on the used market?
