Thank you for this explanation. I just installed mine and was a little confused on the programming if I had it correct. Also my tuner kit came with a rubber plug thing roughly the size of my thumb that I didn’t know what it was for I’m sure it’s to block off that hose on the air box.

BTW they have made changes in the 2019/2020 intake vs 2018 and before models. The intake mode does not help as much in the 2019/2020 models. It would still be useful but in 2018 you will see much more benefit.

@urbanacres71894 жыл бұрын
Yes I talked to them and Eric was very helpful in explaining things. Lid was on backorder and had a very long wait. He also explained how to make sure my factory filter is fine for me until I am ready to get the intake. Did you upgrade your exhaust as well with Slip on?
@enaznhoj4 жыл бұрын
@@urbanacres7189 This is my hunting machine so I just did an R2 tip. It sounds the way it should from the factory now. I can swap them before season starts and make it quite again. I would love the Barkers single but not for a while. I don't do deep water or mud so the air box lid is great for me.
@urbanacres71894 жыл бұрын
I want to try out the R2 tip. Eric’s dyno video says Slip On exhaust is even better bang for you buck compared to Full Duals. So might consider buy Slip On in future. Do you also have 2020 or 2019 Grizzly?

@@urbanacres7189 I actually Have a 2020 Kodiak. I have done some clutch work like the Grizzly clutch weights, purple secondary spring from EPI and a 1.5 mm shim and added 27" tires. I sold my 2016 grizzly to my son in law and got the Kodiak in May.

@@enaznhoj Oh awesome. If you see my other videos I also bought a 2020 Kodiak 700 EPS. I put 26" Maxxis Bighorn OG tires on it. I have not messed with it but I feel it runs cooler compared to my 2020 Grizzly XTR. I plan to do Clutch mods to both shortly. I need to research a little bit more though. I keep thinking I want to do 28" Maxxis Bighorn OG Square setup on the Grizzly but afraid might be too big.

Greetings Urban Acres! And thanks again for yet another great video! I've got a brand new 2021 Kodiak 700 EPS with very few hours on it, so it's still a bit too early to look at an EHS tuner. However, my new Kodiak is rather finnicky to start in cold weather, and does tend to run noticeably lean. So an aftermarket tuner is likely to be in my future. But let me ask you this . . . If I were to purchase and install the EHS tuner, would I also need to make mandatory intake and exhaust modifications too? Or, could the EHS tuner be installed and used successfully with the stock intake and exhaust? Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your experiences.
@urbanacres71893 жыл бұрын
No exhaust and intake changes are not at all mandatory. I have not done any changes. There is a tune on it which I have shown in the video you will select if you don’t have after market exhaust like me.

I installed the EHS tuner on my 2021 Grizzly and 2021 kodiak, both ran like turds, lost all response off idle and fouled the plugs on both. Eric is no help and even says if stock with no modifications won't notice a difference. Unless you have a power commander and a Air fuel monitor you have no idea what you have. I talked to a couple of techs and the said a dyno run needs more than 3 adjustments to run good. In my opinion leave it stock and ride it ! It doesn't lower your motor temperature by 1 degree and it will run way better stock. Tell me the last time anyone has heard of a blown up Yamaha because it was dangerously lean ?

I’m trying to decide between the grizzly 700, brute force 750 and can am outlander 850. After owning yours for a while now are you still happy with your choice? Did you consider one of the other bikes I mentioned? If so what made you decide to go grizzly?
@urbanacres71893 жыл бұрын
Yes I am still very happy with mine. I looked at other close competition. For most important factor was reliability, reasonable modern features, excellent power steering, reasonable power, excellent looks, ease of maintaining etc. Also the machines been around for a while and has been refined.

if you want lot of power and speed, get the outlander. you want plenty of power, enough speed for any trail, and a reliable bike, take either a yamaha, a king quad, or a brute. now with that reliability , you want the best cvt, best eps, and best diff lock in the industry, you buy the grizzly/kodiak.

Does this void the warranty in any way?
@didierpucet3 жыл бұрын
really good question this is why i am waiting before do the modification ahah
@chrise.4003 жыл бұрын
Yeah my question was somewhat rhetorical. Mods that change base engine maps and AFR will certainly run a muck of warranty claims if the issue is traced back to altering these settings.
@didierpucet3 жыл бұрын
@@chrise.400 this is really a good point
@urbanacres71893 жыл бұрын
It probably would, key is if it is traced back to the mod. Besides you really don’t get much warranty on these things. I think the factory warranty is only like 6 months. I don’t buy extended warranties. 100s and 1000s of people have done these mods without any issues. It is a very mild fuel mapping adjustment mainly to add fuel at slower speeds so it does not run hot. Especially important in Texas summers.
