Hello everyone, welcome back to the channel. Guys, as most of you know Yamaha's new HYBRID technology engines in RAY ZR125 & FASCINO 125 give superior mileage and performance. But how does these engine perform in real world traffic conditions? We're gonna find out in this video. YAMAHA MOTORS in association with LUIT AUTOMOBILES, organised a HYBRID MILEAGE CHALLANGE where owners of RAY ZR125 HYBRID & FASCINO 125 HYBRID will compete to get the highest mileage during a pre determined route-ride through the city of Guwahati. I really can't understand the hybrid technology. They say they smg (smart motor generator) assists and provides power to engine. But ICE is operated only by burning fuel inside it. And what powers the smg? If battery provides the power then how big battery is fitted into the scooter?

The answer lies in its term it self, SMART MOTOR GENERATOR. So, what it does is, it acts as a motor, which is connected to the output shaft of the engine (which basically drives the wheel through belt), during initial as well as sudden acceleration by taking power from the battery and rest all the time it acts as a generator which charges the battery. I hope this would clear your doubt to some extend 🙏🏼

Thats definitely not a practical test, I see you never ride over 30 kmph and I dont think we would like to do that on everyday basis,

All nice and well but not how a scooter is being used in real daily life. I ride a Ray ZR in Seychelles daily and I get around 55km/liter which I think is quite good

I have clearly mentioned in the video that this test is carried out in a very particular manner and also that most of the people do not ride in this way in their daily lives. But the results in this video are real. May be you can try for yourself once. Ride below 3000 rpm, avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration. Let me know how much you got 🤘

Hum daily life me itni softly and carefully ride nahi karte sir. Is video me, if you noticed, we rode very carefully by keeping low rpm and speed, avoiding rapid acceleration and deceleration and because of that we got that much of mileage.
