Had the pleasure of meeting Igor personally and even going on a big tour with him and Max as their TM. He's a real nice guy and a great musician who made an undisputable contribution to heavy music, just like Max. It was great to see him here! But it surprised me that in this video he held the sticks the "right" way while he used to always hold them the other way around :D

I had the honor of opening for Cavalera Conspiracy as a local act back in 2015. They were all really nice and it was so surreal to set my kit up in front of Iggors. Marc came out after our set and cured my imposter syndrome for like 3 years with a simple "you guys were great, good job" 🤣. It's weird to see Iggor behind an ekit but I'm here for it.

He was the reason I started playing drums. Got a copy of Arise in 1991 shortly after it came out when a buddy played it for me. Ran around amd preached the album for two years as the greatest Metal album of all times. Did the same thing with Metallicas Masters of Puppets when that came out, but Lars wasn't the inspiration... James was, so I picked up the guitar, then traded for drums.

Véi na boa, todo mundo fala que o Eloy é foda, e realmente é mesmo, o cara é uma máquina, mas pra mim o batera do Sepultura sempre será o Igor. As batuquera que ele criou sem nenhum estudo e só com o instinto é surreal, com o Eloy tudo fica muito mecânico, já com o Igor a parada fica mais humana, orgânica, roots mesmo. Pra ser sincero foi muito mais fácil pra mim aceitar o Max ter saído, nos primeiros shows que eu fui com o Derrick eu nem senti falta do Max, o Igor ainda tava lá, depois que o Igor saiu sei lá parece que a alma do som foi embora, eu fico no show tipo "tá legal mas tá faltando alguma coisa", o som da banda continua foderoso mas a graça do Sepultura sempre foi os batuque e as macumba do Igor, as maluquices dele fazem muita falta, não sou viúva do Max, mas sou viúva do Igor kkkk Vida longa ao Sepultura, vida longa aos Cavalera😎🤘🍺

I love Igor Cavalera so much. One of my favorite thrash metal drummer of all time along with Dave Lombardo. Both thrash fast. They also are groovy one not to mention playing kaiowas and with the Brazilian tribe. Territory is one of my favorite Sepultura songs. The intro is amazing

Dear Yamaha, in the early 90's I got a Modern Drummer magazine which had a plastic record (vinyl) in that had Matt Sorum, Dave weckl and Tommy Aldridge playing a Yamaha DTX electric kit. I've been looking for this record ever since. I loved it! Is there anywhere I can get it again or listen to it? It was a huge part of my childhood learning and passion for the drums. Great to see this video, I also remember a friend introducing me to the music of Sepultura 👍👍 Keep Rockin'!
