6:55 Funny you should mention the assembly. I just discovered last week that my wires and light pod was run the same way as you describe. And I had owned the machine for over a year. I discovered this while browsing through the service manual. My dealer just slapped it together what ever way he wanted. It's all good now. Not sure if you know but in the light pod frame there are two small holes for zip ties to attached the cables to. As well, the dealer didn't put the light pod case on properly. Oh well..I guess time is money.

So glad I found this video. I bought some of the same tires for my Can Am 570 and thought they might be too big. Yours look and fit great! Getting them mounted tomorrow. I did go SunF instead (11's rear) but are exact for half the money. $394+tax/ free shipping. I dont know how much you paid per tire back then, but they're $220 each now.

Wow! What a helpful little video, and an aggressive looking little Kodiak too! Thanks for sharing. I've got a new 2021 Kodiak 700 EPS myself, and I'd like to go with these same 26" Bighorns, but it's not quite clear to me whether I'd need a lift kit to do so? Could you possibly clarify that? Did you need a lift kit for yours? Many thanks.
@urbanacres7189

No lift no adjustments. Depending on your weight and riding style you can adjust the rear shocks stiffness but you would do that anyway

Are the factory shocks truly adjustable on your Kodiak? I'm seeing multiple references on-line that say the Kodiak shocks are un-adjustable?
@josephstewart5201
@josephstewart5201 3 жыл бұрын
@@urbanacres7189 Yeah, I've looked into this a bit further, and inspected my own Kodiak in detail, but it's clear that no shock adjustments are ever going to be necessary for these 26" Bighorn tires, at least not on my particular Kodiak. There's more than 8.5" of clearance on mine, with the 26" tires, between the top of the tire and the inside fender well. The spring coils on the two rear shocks are only 9" tall, so there's no way that adjustment of the shocks would ever be necessary. They would have bottomed-out beforehand. But thanks anyway.

In your opinion should I go 2023 kodiak 700 eps se or 2023 Grizzly eps se? Kodiak comes with 25” 2 ply tires which I might upgrade to either bear claw htr or bighorns and Grizzly comes with 27” maxis Zillas. I do average trail riding, plowing, and haul firewood around property. Do you find a big difference in comfort of suspension and power between the two? I have a kodiak 450 esp se now and need more ground clearance. Love your videos, thanks for any input.

Yes it is normal I don't worry about it. It is much lower in 686 motors vs 708 motors. My 2020 Grizzly also does it. It is barely noticeable to me. Some people don't like it, I actually like it. It is not very often though. Again people claim AIS delete will eliminate it. I did AIS delete on 2020 Grizzly it did not eliminate for me. I have uploaded the video of AIS delete and EHS tuner install.

Are you able to ride this 700 in shorts during the summer months? I heard Kodis run very hot and burn your left leg or your passenger's...Any thoughts? I want to be able to take my daughter with me on short rides.
@urbanacres7189
@urbanacres7189 3 жыл бұрын
I am but passengers legs dangle right on the plastic and it gets very hot especially during summer. Younger passengers whose feet don’t reach the floor board have no choice but let their legs dangle on hot plastic. I don’t recommend if the machine is hot.

Would you agree that for a 700 it has a really good amount of power?
@urbanacres7189
@urbanacres7189 4 жыл бұрын
Yes don't believe everything you read about it needing a bigger engine. 700 is more than powerful. Not everyone is racing their quads. It has plenty of power for what is made for and what a family would use it for. It is very comfortable and like @Bill Wilson mentioned great style for the money. We got an amazing deal on it thus even better value. Did not pay anywhere close to MSRP. Only thing I wish it had was dual rate springs like the Grizzly that would make it more comfortable ride. But the power steering, the lockers etc is amazing value.

I’ve used the Grizzly 700 to plow snow, and drag trees. I literally cleared my ATV trails with it. Big brush guard, and skid plates, and the thing is a little bulldozer. It never faltered for me. It’s still a hoot to ride on the trails too.

It’s funny your video was exactly 8 minutes and 50 seconds maybe you should’ve bought an 850 . I did . And this little goat loves to climb it’ll show you sides of your abilities you never knew you had . I did the same thing went looking at Yamaha‘s but when they close the dealership by me it was like they were telling me they have no faith in me . Maybe you should throw your leg over an Outty . I sit higher I have a better view of the layout ahead of me and when I need to punch it . ... Were gone ! 👋

How do your big horns compare to your zillas on the other quad?
@urbanacres7189
@urbanacres7189 3 жыл бұрын
I love my Bighorns. They do amazing for the kind of riding I do. They are awesome on the street as well. Zillas are not great on the street. They are decent tires when trail riding. They benefit from Grizzly’s nice ride and geometry. Only reason I have not changed Grizzly tires to Bighorn is the XTR came with square setup and I want to keep it that way. I keep thinking I want to go to bighorn 28/10/14 square setup but I am unable to find any pics of this set up on Grizzly so kind of worried them being too big
