I've watched it both ways on KZbin about taking the clutch nut off Your way and the guy stepping on it. I never had an issue with the clutch on the old Chinese scoot. I would have just replaced the entire assembly. They were much cheaper than the Yamaha. I don't want to think about getting into the Burgman 650's drive assembly!! That's why I purchased an extended 5 year warranty.

Ya them dogs, if what I found is true at least at this time I have swayed to the Honda Silver Wing, l like it and have been watching yours and others. Show continues soon, gotta wait till my test comes in.

Have you tried to remove that little bearing from the SECONDARY SLIDING SHEAVE ? I've checked the diagram and there is no spare part like bearing for this, so I am wondering if i could replace the old used noisy bearing for 17x30x7 mm 6903 type it's so cheap comparing to whole sheave. Anyone tried ?

Yes, I did it. I changed both bearings on the back drive pulley, so now it works very well and is entirely silent.

wonder if you could widen the channel? Wonder if that would help. The Top of that shaft looks like it is made for a wrench..
